Drewno. Dlaczego jest takie wyjątkowe? (fotorelacja)

Wood. Why is it so special? (photo report)

We were inspired to write this text by the last afternoon in the carpentry shop before "assembling" the Älskar desk. An exceptionally sunny afternoon. The light coming through the large windows made this place appear in a new, unique, mysterious and beautiful version. The smell of wood, evenly cut desk tops, wooden chips and peace of mind, because we rely mainly on manual work. We would like to share with you some shots from this visit and write a few words about wood. Why is it so special?

What is the wood like?

You definitely can't say it's boring. Wood triggers passion and teaches patience. From the moment of designing the desk to the creation of the final product, wood refines every stage. Our carpentry shop makes sure that each piece of furniture that leaves us is of the highest quality. The desks we produce, apart from being functional and ergonomic, must also make an impression and look great.

The process of creating a desk.

Wood makes the user's everyday life diversified with beauty that, in addition to being delightful, will also last for years. High-quality natural materials are durable. Their greatest advantage, however, is that they become more and more beautiful with age. Transforming a rough and irregular board into a perfect desk top is a process that is fully controlled by us. It is important that the patterns and structure of the material are preserved and even highlighted. The process of making a wooden desk consists of several stages. Precise cutting, planing, making connections, gluing, assembling. Nothing is accidental in this process, everything must be planned.

Humidity, grain pattern and type of wood affect the final appearance of the furniture and how it will change over time. However, creating a perfect product also requires modern technology and a great workshop.

Furniture finishing and environmental protection.

Finishing the furniture is a separate process. Already at the stage of obtaining raw materials, we try to reduce the carbon footprint. We source materials from nearby, sustainable sources. We mostly use natural oils and mixtures as finishes, which give our desks their final look. When creating our electrically adjustable desks , we use durable materials, both plywood and solid wood - this means that our furniture does not need to be replaced for many years. We do not use chipboards, which are very durable.

We are happy when our clients do not have to choose between comfort, ergonomics and aesthetics. Desks and all other furniture should be both practical and beautiful. The universal designs we create will work perfectly in any arrangement. Constant attention to the quality of the materials used, careful finishing and work in accordance with the principles of craftsmanship make our desks unique.

We encourage you to check out our offer! There you will find not only desks, but also ergonomic chairs .
